BBM Associates Recent Projects:

Villages of Apex  

BBM Associates provided land planning, rezoning and permitting for a new 175-acre mixed use urban village in Apex, NC.  The development will include single-family homes, townhomes, condominiums, office and retail.  In addition, BBM provided site design for a private school and a 13-acre public park to be located within the development.  The first homes will be completed in July of 2008.  The commercial portions of the development will begin construction in March of 2008.

 
WakeMed Apex Healthplex  

BBM Associates provided site design and permitting for a new 85,710 sf Healthplex in Apex, NC.  The Healthplex will contain a 24-hour emergency department, radiology and outpatient surgery among other services.  The center will open in January 2008

Arringdon Development  

Lichtin Corporation’s aggressive expansion program in the Triangle area has resulted in the planning of over 2 million square feet new office space.  BBM Associates has been providing design surveys, engineering design and construction staking of a new 95-acre Mixed Use development on the eastern edge of the City of Durham, called Arringdon.

BBM’s responsibilities have included rezoning of the property, master planning, and detailed site design.  The project is composed of Office, Residential, Commercial, Institutional and Hotel uses.   BBM’s efforts have included survey and design of approximately one mile of off-site public waterline and countless roadway improvements to Page Road,


 
Colonial Grand at Arringdon  

Colonial Grand at Arringdon is a new 20-acre apartment community within the Arringdon mixed-use community.  BBM provided design and permitting for this challenging, urban themed residential community.  We acted as the Owner’s liaison to the City of Durham, and coordinated a multi-discipline design team from three different states.

With an out-of-state Owner, BBM was also contracted to oversee construction and ensure the Owner’s best interest in any issues that arose.  BBM was able to act as the Owners eyes and ears in many instances, to ensure a quality implementation of our plans.


 
Forest Creek North Village  

Teamed with Community Planning and Architectural Associates of Chapel Hill, NC, BBM was selected to design the next phase of Forest Creek Golf Club in Southern Pines, NC.  The “North Village” consists of approximately 120 residential lots centered around a new Tom Fazio designed championship golf course. 

BBM provided design of roadways, storm drainage, water distribution, wastewater collection, stormwater quality ponds and erosion control.


 
Haddon Hall Commons  

BBM Associates was selected to provide survey and site design for a new 73,500 sf shopping center in Apex, NC.  The center is anchored by a 48,800 sf Harris Teeter grocery store.  After approval by the Town of Apex, BBM also performed construction staking for the entire site and building construction.  The center opened in April of 2005.

 
Olive Chapel Village  

BBM Associates performed survey and site design for a new 80,000 sf shopping center in Apex, NC.  The center is anchored by a 49,600 sf Lowe’s Foods store.  After approval by the Town of Apex, BBM also performed construction staking for the entire site and building construction.  The center opened in February of 2002.

 
Palisades One & Two  

BBM Associates performed survey and site design for two new 80,000 sf Class A office buildings overlooking the Raleigh Entertainment and Sports Arena.  After approval by the city of Raleigh, BBM also performed construction staking for construction of Phase One.  The building opened in March of 2001, slightly ahead of schedule.

 
Toringdon Development  

BBM Associates, Inc. provided site design and permitting of a new 40-acre Mixed Use development in south Charlotte.  The project is composed of Office, Residential and Commercial uses.

After completing master planning and rezoning of the entire development, design of infrastructure began.  New public and private roadway, water and sewer was designed for the entire project.  Also, two water quality ponds were designed to comply with environmental regulations and also provide an aesthetic feature of the site.

The first office site was designed and constructed in 2001.  BBM was involved from start to finish to help deliver the building in a very short time frame.


 
Brier Creek Marketplace  

BBM Associates, Inc. provided site design and permitting of a new 12-acre retail center in the Brier Creek Development, in West Raleigh.  The project is composed of a 45,000 sf Winn-Dixie grocery store and two future outparcels.  The site design include an underground pipe network to meet City of Raleigh stormwater detention rules. 

 
Imperial Point  

BBM Associates provided survey, site design and permitting for a new 80,000 sf shopping center at the corner of Slater Road and Hopson Road within Imperial Center in Durham, NC.  Tenants include Starbuck’s and a privately owned Mexican restaurant. The center opened in November 2007.

 
Morrisville Market  

BBM Associates provided survey, site design and permitting for a new 140,000 sf shopping center at the corner of Davis Drive and Morrisville-Carpenter Road in Morrisville, NC.  The center opened in April 2007

 
North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants  

BBM Associates performed survey and site design for a new 8,880 sf Class A office building to house the statewide headquarters of the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants.  After approval by the city of Durham, BBM also performed site staking for construction of the building.  The building is scheduled to open in February of 2006.

 
Kohl’s Department Store  

BBM Associates was selected to provide survey, site design and permitting for a new 100,000 sf Kohl’s Department Store in Apex, NC.  The site entailed construction of two underground detention systems and two large site retaining walls.  The store opened in October 2007.
